On behalf of the Secretary General of the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC) Professor Dr. Michel Abs, the Secretary General of ACT Alliance, Mr. Rudelmar Bueno de Faria, received the medal commemorating the Fiftieth Year of the establishment of the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC), as a token of love, appreciation, and gratitude.
This honor was bestowed today, Tuesday, October 29, 2024, during the activities of the Fourth General Assembly of the international organization "ACT Alliance," which is being held under the title "Hope in Action, Together for Justice," between October 28 and November 1, 2024, in the Yogyakarta region, Indonesia.

Recognizing the importance of the media's role in shedding light on urgent humanitarian and social issues, ACT Alliance held a press conference to discuss the most prominent current issues addressed by its Fourth General Assembly, especially the topic of climate justice and the actions needed by civil society and stakeholders to protect the earth from threats that endanger it. The press conference saw the participation of Indonesian and international journalists, as well as media department of the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC).
The General Assembly is being held under the theme "Hope in Action, Together for Justice," from October 28 to November 1, 2024, in the Yogyakarta region, Indonesia.

The exchange of views and experiences, as well as customs and traditions, and the highlighting of various humanitarian activities are the main themes embodied in the Fourth General Assembly of ACT Alliance, held under the theme "Hope in Action, Together for Justice," from October 28 to November 1, 2024, in the Yogyakarta region, Indonesia.
As part of this ecumenical event, ACT Alliance is organizing an exhibition for its regional forums that include member organizations from around the world, including the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Forum, which includes the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC) and many other humanitarian organizations and institutions.

With great hope, and under the theme "Hope in Action, Together for Justice," ACT Alliance continues the work of its General Assembly in Yogyakarta Region, Indonesia, where the activities of the second day were held today, Tuesday, October 29, 2024. The Assembly's work will continue until Friday, November 1.
In the presence of the General Secretary of ACT Alliance, Mr. Rudelmar Bueno de Faria, and the General Secretary of the World Council of Churches (WCC), Reverend Professor Dr. Jerry Pillay, the ACT Alliance family is participating in this global ecumenical event, including its employees and representatives of its members from regional and international organizations and bodies. This includes the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC), represented by the Regional Director of the Department of Diakonia and Social Service, Eng. Samer Laham, and the Communication and Media Officer in the Department of Communication and Public Relations, Elia Nasrallah.

We gather today to ring the bell and raise our voices to stand and work together towards a better planet.
The environment is facing nowadays a danger issue called climate change which imposes many repercussions on our daily life, and this is what demand our collective attention and action.

Working for inclusive justice for all is one of the most important goals of the international organization “ACT Alliance”, which is holding its General Assembly hosted by the YAKKUM Rehabilitation Center for People with Disabilities in the Yogyakarta region, Indonesia, from October 28 to November 1, 2024, under the title "Hope in Action, Together for Justice."
This justice has been sought by Pusat Rehabilitasi YAKKUM for many years by safeguarding the rights of persons with disabilities in inclusive societies by providing essential services for these tasks.
