A Concert on the occasion of the Feast of the Throne of Antioch

Under the Patronage and Presence of His Beatitude Patriarch John X

Damascus, June 29, 2024

Under the high auspices and in the presence of His Beatitude Patriarch John X, Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, and President of the Middle East Council of Churches for the Orthodox Family, and in the context of the Feast of the See of Antioch, a concert was held at the Opera House in Damascus, which included the "Spiritual Cithara" Choir led by Archimandrite Meletios Shattahi and the Orpheus Orchestra led by Professor Andre Maalouli.

Many officials and a great crowd came to attend the masterpieces from the musicians and poets of the Antiochian Church. The concert shed light on their national, historical musical, and poetic contributions, starting with Protopsalty of the Antiochian See, Mitri Al-Murr, passing by Metropolitan of Homs Athanasius Atallah, and Metropolitan of Akkar Epiphanius Zaed…
