His Holiness Catholicos Aram I Addresses the Faithful in Boston During Sunday Divine Liturgy

On Sunday, October 13th, 2024, during the Divine Liturgy conducted by HE Arch. Kegham Khatcherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, Catholicos of the Armenian Church, Holy See of Cilicia, and Honorary President of the Middle East Council of Churches, delivered an address, beginning by acknowledging the presence of HE Arch. Anousavan Tanielian, Prelate of the Eastern Prelacy, the clergy, the Diocesan Executive Council, and the various organizations active in Armenian community life in Boston. He appreciated their dedication and commitment to the Armenian Church and community. His Holiness emphasized that the Armenian Church’s mission is to serve the people and recognized Archpriest Antranig Baljian for his 50 years of service.

In his sermon, His Holiness reflected on John 14:6, where Christ states, “I am the way, the truth, and the life,” explaining that Christ’s path leads to true freedom and salvation. He urged the faithful to follow Christ’s example in overcoming darkness and embracing the values He taught. The worldly paths available to humanity are many and often lead to fleeting achievements or to darkness.
