His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II Receives the Representative of the Russian Orthodox Patriarchate of Moscow in Syria Very Reverend Father Philip

On May 17, 2023, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East and Supreme Head of the Universal Syriac Orthodox Church, received the representative of the Russian Orthodox Patriarchate of Moscow in Syria Very Reverend Father Philip, at the Patriarchate Headquarters in Bab Touma – Damascus.

His Eminence Archbishop Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Assistant, and Very Reverend Raban Augeen Al-Khoury Nemat, Patriarchal Secretary, were also present in the meeting.

During the meeting, Rev. Philip delivered a message from His Holiness Patriarch Kyrill of Moscow to His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, and discussed with him Ecumenical matters that are of interest to the two sister Churches.
