His Holiness Mor Ignatius Aphrem II Presides Over the Holy Mass Commemorating the Massacres of Sadad

On October 15, 2022, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East and Supreme Head of the Universal Syriac Orthodox Church, presided over the Holy Qurobo celebrated by His Eminence Archbishop Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Archbishop of Homs, Hama, Tartous and Environs , on the occasion of the Commemoration of the massacres of Sadad, at St. Mikhael Church in Sadad.

Their Eminences : Mor Maurice Amsih, Archbishop of Jazeera and Euphrates, and Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director were also present.

During the qurobo, His Holiness prayed the teshmeshto of the departed in memory of the martyrs of Sadad who were killed during the terrorist attacks in 2013.

Following the Holy Qurobo, His Holiness and the accompanying archbishops and clergy walked to the square of the Martyrs of Sadad where he deposed a wreath of flowers in commemoration of the martyrs.
