His Beatitude John X, Patriarch of Antioch and all East, met Rev. Prof. Dr Ioan Sauca, Acting General Secretary of the World Council of Churches, at the Patriarchal Residence in Balamand. The meeting took place in the presence of the Right Reverend Archimandrite Jack Khalil, Dean of the St. John of Damascene Institute of Theology - University of Balamand.
The meeting discussed the role assigned to the World Council of Churches and the relationship with the Antiochian Church. The meeting dealt with the ambiance of preparation for the next General Assembly of the Council, as well as the ways to enhance cooperation and the challenges facing the work of the Council midst the current circumstances …
