Momentum, the Weekly Newsletter from the Middle East Council of Churches

In the new issue of the weekly newsletter Momentum issued by the Communication and Public Relations Department of the Middle East Council of Churches you can find a news about the first meeting of the MECC new Executive Committee that thanked His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, for hosting the activities of the MECC 12th General Assembly, and discussed the recommendations issued by this General Assembly, and ways to develop the work mechanisms. As for the weekly message of the MECC Secretary General Dr. Michel Abs, it was entitled “Reflections on the Feast of the See of Antioch”.

The issue also includes details and pictures about the visit of His Beatitude Patriarch Anba Ibrahim Isaac, Coptic Catholic Patriarch of Alexandria, and Head of the Council of Catholic Patriarchs and Bishops in Egypt, heading a delegation to the headquarters of the MECC General Secretariat in Beirut.

As well as, the issue presents a news about the visit of the CEO of the International Humanitarian Organization “Embrace the Middle East” Tim Livesey, and the Programmes and Partnerships Manager in the organization Bruce Clark, to the Council’s headquarters in Beirut.

This is in addition to the news of the MECC various Departments, especially the activities of Theological and Ecumenical Department implemented in Jordan, and the activities of the Service and Relief – Diakonia Department, Beirut’s Office.
