In the new issue of the weekly newsletter Momentum issued by the Communication and Public Relations Department of the Middle East Council of Churches you can find thank you letters from the MECC Secretary General Dr. Michel Abs to the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Mr. Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, and Reverend Dr. Andrea Zaki, following the MECC 12th General Assembly held with the hospitality of the Coptic Orthodox Church and with the support of the Evangelical Church in Egypt, at the Logos Papal Center in Wadi El Natrun. As for the message of Dr. Abs, it was entitled this week “General Assembly Sequential Outlook”.
The issue also presents on the occasion of the Feast of the Holy Family’s Entry into Egypt, a documentary entitled "From Egypt I Called My Son" highlighting the most prominent historical stations of the Coptic Church.
You can also find photos, videos, details and reports covering the meetings and activities of the General Assembly from its opening session to its last day, in addition to special video interviews with heads of Churches in the Middle East from various Church families.
As well as, you can find an interview with the MECC Secretary General Dr. Michel Abs in “Al Nour Maana” program on Télé Lumiere and Noursat. During the episode, Dr. Abs shed light on the activities of the General Assembly and its final statement, as well as, the projects that will be implemented in the post General Assembly period.
Furthermore, the issue presents a news about the General Assembly of the Association of Theological Institutes in the Middle East (ATIME) held in Egypt, and during which Archimandrite Dr. Jack Khalil was elected as President for the Association and Father Dr. Michael Kanbar as its Executive Secretary.
