Momentum, the Weekly Newsletter from the Middle East Council of Churches

The new issue of the weekly newsletter Momentum issued by the Communication and Public Relations Department of the Middle East Council of Churches presents the message of the MECC Secretary General Dr. Michel Abs, entitled this week “Human Folly”.

The issue also includes a news about the ATIME meeting aiming at continuing its work on its bylaws. In addition to details on the launching of the Season of Creation 2022 and its theme for this year. 

As well as, the issue presents a report about Lent in Arabic, under the title of “The 40 Days of Lent: Passing from the Desert of Desperation to the Divine Oasis, The Church is Preparing for the Feast of Feasts, Are we ready yet?”. You can find also another report entitled “The Feast of the Chair of St. Peter in Antioch, February 22, the Beginnings of the Church from the East to all the World, ‘And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church…’ (Matthew 16:18)”.

In our ecumenical journey towards the MECC 12th General Assembly, the issue includes a video about the MECC activities supporting the Iraqi refugees in Syria. The video was presented during the Council’s 10th General Assembly, held between 29 and 30 November 2011 in Paphos, Cyprus.
