Video - Environmental Theology and Anaphora Center in the Third Episode of the "Days of the Season of Creation" 2021 on Télé Lumière and Noursat

The third episode of the program "Days of the Season of Creation" 2021 was broadcasted on Thursday, September 16, at 8:30 pm Beirut time and 5:30 GMT, and reran on Friday, September 17, 2021. The program is prepared in cooperation between Télé Lumière and Noursat and the Middle East Council of Churches. It is launched in the context of the international celebrations of the “Season of Creation” and will be broadcasted throughout the month of September. The content is prepared by the MECC Communication and Public Relations Department.

This third episode was presented by journalist Ralph Tawitian. Many guests from different fields participated throughout its environmental and Theological segments and reports. Member of the MECC Ecojustice Adhoc Committee head of the Association of Theological Institutes and Faculties in the Middle East and Dean of the Faculty of Religious and Theological Sciences at Sagesse University, Lebanon, Father Tanios Khalil presented a detailed explanation about the Laudato Si' encyclical of His Holiness Pope Francis and its Ecumenical and human meanings, in addition to the Pope's view towards the environment.

He also underlined the relation of Theology with human and creation, and the responsibility of the believer towards this creation. Father Khalil stressed on the importance of education and the necessity of a new spirituality...

Bishop of Al-Qusiya and Mir, Assiut, Egypt Anba Thomas also participated from Egypt through video to talk about the Anaphora center for Prayer and retreat in Egypt, shedding light on its main objectives and the activities that take place in it. He highlighted the role of Anaphora in the “Season of Creation”, and in glorifying the Creator and preserving God's gift.
