Video - Theological and Environmental Topics in the Second Episode of "Days of the Season of Creation" 2021 on Télé Lumière and Noursat

The second episode of the program of the "Days of the Season of Creation" 2021 was broadcasted on Thursday, September 9, at 8:30 pm Beirut time and 5:30 GMT. The program is prepared in cooperation between Télé Lumière and Noursat and the Middle East Council of Churches. It is launched in the context of the international celebrations of the “Season of Creation” and will be broadcasted throughout the month of September. The content is prepared by the MECC Communication and Public Relations Department.
This second episode was presented by Ralph Tawitian. Many guests from different fields participated throughout its environmental and Theological segments and reports. In the first and Theological segment, Syriac Catholic Patriarchal Vicar of Eparchy of Beirut, Our Lady of Annunciation Syriac Catholic Cathedral His Eminence Bishop Mathias Charles Mrad presented more explanation on the environment and how it is mentioned in the Holy Bible. He also highlighted the vision of His Holiness Pope Francis towards the environment in the light of his Encyclical Letter “Laudato si'”, in addition to the role of youth in glorifying the Creator and protecting the environment.
Board Chair of A Rocha Organization Lebanon Reverend Joy Mallouh, presented in the second segment an introductory overview about the goals of A Rocha and its role towards the environment and glorifying the Creator, in Lebanon and the world. He also underlined the activities of the association and the challenges in the environmental preservation today.
In the third segment, Fundraising Officer in the Finance service team at Oum el Nour organization Mr. Jihad Akiki shed the light on the mission of Oum el Nour and its role in the context of Prayer, nature and work. He also shared some experiences and presented ways for youth environmental education.
