The Middle East Council of Churches Presents a New Series of TV Episodes

Eastern “Season of Creation” on Télé Lumière and Noursat

On the occasion of the “Season of Creation 2021” launching for the first time in the Middle East, the Communication and Public Relations Department at the Middle East Council of Churches is presenting a new television series during the month of September about the “Days of the Season of Creation” on Télé Lumière and Noursat.

The program presents weekly episodes broadcasted every Thursday at 8.30 pm Beirut time throughout this Christian and environmental season, and will be reran every Friday. The content will be prepared by the Communication and Public Relations Department.

Episodes will shed the light on the MECC role in launching the celebrations of the international "Season of Creation" in the East, stressing on various environmental and Theological topics and ideas, especially the role of the Church in the environmental urgent issue and the responsibility of the people in preserving and protecting their common home. Specialists from different fields will participate as guests in each episode.

The first episode will be broadcasted on Thursday, September 2, 2021, and will focus on the goals and target of the "Season of Creation" project in general, as well as the environmental mission of the Middle East Council of Churches especially in the context of this season. As such, this episode’s guests will be MECC Secretary General Dr. Michel Abs, members of the Council’s Ecojustice Adhoc Committee head of the Association of Theological Institutes and Faculties in the Middle East Father Tanios Khalil, Reverend Dr. Rima Nasrallah from the Evangelical Church, and Dr. Dany El-Obeid from the Orthodox Church.
