Season Of Creation - The Middle East Council of Churches

Christians around the world and in the Middle East celebrate the priceless gift of the Creator during a period devoted to Prayer and work in order to protect the environment and its creatures, between September 1st and October 4 of each year. As for this year, the Middle East Council of Churches is participating for the first time, along with the World Council of Churches, in the celebrations of this special environmental season. The Council is therefore translating into Arabic the unified booklet that is prepared for this season, so that it becomes available online as soon as the translation process is completed and published on the MECC’s website and social media platforms.

The Middle East Council of Churches invites you to an introductory meeting for the “Season of Creation 2021” project via Zoom, on Monday July 12, 2021 at 7:30 PM Beirut time and 6:30 PM Egypt time. You can join the meeting through:

For more details, you can contact the organizing committee via the following e-mail: oikos@mecc.org.

Noting that this 45-minute meeting will be broadcasted directly on the MECC YouTube channel and Facebook page. So let us pray together for our common home, the creation that God offered us as a gift, asking the Lord to give us wisdom in caring for it and protecting it from any danger.

As well as, MECC invites all people, parishes, associations and organizations in the Middle East to participate in this season through Prayers, activities, projects, awareness lectures, youth meetings... related to the environment. Thus, we pray and work, through these festivities, for the protection of the environment and the creation and all its environmental and animal creatures, so humans will be motivated to take care of their common home preventing its destruction.
