In the new issue of the weekly newsletter Momentum issued by the Communication and Public Relations Department of the Middle East Council of Churches, MECC General Secretariat mourns its colleague and the Finance Director of Syria’s office Hayel Abou Jamra who passed peacefully from this life into the loving arms of our Lord. As for the weekly message of the MECC Secretary General Dr. Michel Abs, it was entitled “On Violence, the Human Person and the Other”.

It also Includes a news of a webinar organized by the World Council of Churches on the massacres that occurred in the Middle East, in which Dr. Abs participated as panelist and stressed on the importance of continuing campaigns on the massacres and genocides to keep memory alive forever.

You can also find details and pictures about the second session as part of the Trauma Healing and Spiritual Counseling program aiming at supporting the victims’ families of the Beirut Port Blast, implemented by the MECC Theological and Ecumenical Department.

The issue also presents the MECC Departments’ news, the Ecumenical calendar for November 2021, the “Week of Prayer for Christian Unity” 2022 booklet in Arabic, various Ecumenical reports, videos related to the Council, the weekly Prayer, and news of the Middle Eastern Churches.
