The new issue of the weekly newsletter Momentum issued by the Communication and Public Relations Department of the Middle East Council of Churches, presents the news of the closing Prayer of the “Season of Creation” at the invitation of MECC and under the patronage of HB Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Al Rai, on October 3, 2021, at the Monastery of the Visitation, Aintoura – Lebanon. In addition to the MECC Secretary General Dr. Michel Abs’ speech on the occasion.
The issue also presents the MECC new appeal for Lebanon to help its children who are witnessing many crises. As for the weekly message of Dr. Abs, it was entitled “Ingratitude, hypocrisy and poisoned honey”.
It also Includes an interview with the Head of the Philokalia Institute and Organization Sister Marana Saad entitled “On the Closure of the Season of Creation 2021, from the Monastery of the Visitation, Lebanon, Sister Marana Saad: ‘At Philokalia, meaning “Love of the beautiful”, we work on the upbringing of artists’, ‘The Season of Creation is a message and an invitation in the heart of the Church’.
In addition to a series of interviews with many Church leaders following the closure Prayer of the “Season of Creation”. It was entitled “From the Visitation Monastery, Lebanon, Environmental and Ecumenical Interviews on the Closure of the “Season of Creation” 2021, Leaders from Different Church Families Highlight the Importance of Preserving the Creator’s Gifts”.
The issue presents a video message from the Holy See Pavilion in Expo 2020 Dubai on the occasion of the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi, and other videos about the Visitation Monastery, Philokalia Institute and Organization. As well as MECC Departments’ news, various Ecumenical reports, videos related to the Council, weekly Prayer, and news of the Middle Eastern Churches.
Moreover, the issue includes a socio-economic overview of the Middle East and Coronavirus in the region updates.
