In light of the worsening economic crises in Lebanon and the massive outbreak of the Coronavirus Pandemic all over the country, the Middle East Council of Churches continues its humanitarian mission by providing a new batch of relief supplies to the poorest and neediest families. This program was launched in order to support the Lebanese in overcoming the difficult circumstances and its repercussions.
Therefore, the Service and Relief Department - Diakonia distributed 805 food rations and vouchers to the citizens living in Mount Lebanon, South Lebanon, Akkar and the Bekaa. This distribution was made in cooperation and coordination with several international organizations such as GM-UCC, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), Presbyterian Church U.S.A (PCUSA) and Catholic Agency for Overseas Development (CAFOD).
