MECC Supports the Owners of Small Businesses

MECC implemented a Grants Program, which included an advanced business course for 22 beneficiaries from Damascus and its rural areas who passed the basic business course.

The six-day course addressed the basics of marketing, sales and feasibility study development.

Every participant prepared a feasibility study for their proposed projects, then, a specialized committee evaluated all the projects and provided grants for the successful ones. In total, 16 projects were financed and the grantees have already started to establish their businesses.

The chosen projects varied from sewing, copper manufacturing, sheep breeding, a supermarket, electric wiring, silver jewelery manufacturing, shower loofah sponges manufacturing to many other projects.
