A new dilemma in the investigations of the Beirut blast, what is Britain's connection to it?

When it comes to finding the truth, Lebanon is not the only country to suffer from red tape. Two senior British parliamentarians called for an investigation into a British-registered company probably related to the Beirut blast. They called upon UK authorities to investigate it, given inaccurate information appears to have been filed. In other words, the company is suspected to be conducting illicit activity, given that much of the information a company should have regarding its registration is missing. Moreover, one of the British MPs indicated that the company remained dormant without any trading or other activity or keeping any bank accounts as the project for which it was incorporated was never known.

For all those conspiracy-enthusiasts this seems to be one intriguing story as the situation becomes even more complex. Just how many people were involved in the catastrophe? How high up was it and why does Lebanon always has to pay the price?

In any case, investigation is stalled on the local front as Judge Sawan postponed it to after the sever lockdown in Lebanon ends. Many sources indicate that because of the immense political pressure he is facing, he might halt his investigation and resorting to international institutions and tribunals, seeing that they cannot be influenced by Lebanese power-holders. Hopefully, the coming two weeks might enshrine us with answers.
