As we believe that life is stronger and since our hope in our Lord Jesus Christ never dies, the heart of the Middle East Council of Churches’ Head Office in Beirut is beating again after almost 3 months of quarantine during which MECC team worked from home due to the precautionary measures imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

After the Lebanese government decided to ease the quarantine measures, the team members came back to the office with a revived dynamism and a strong momentum, while adhering to the necessary precautions including social distancing and the use of facemasks…

During this difficult period, the council’s team members have proved that distance can only keep them physically apart, since communication through prayer and work, even remotely or virtually, can be truly fruitful and productive thanks to their joint efforts and united hearts. Now, we pursue our ecumenical mission while striving to protect human dignity, guided by our belief that our hopes are in God only.
