Special Training Courses for People with Special Needs | Syria
With the aim of supporting persons with disabilities to enter the labor market, the Middle East Council of Churches organized two vocational trainings in mobile maintenance and Cosmetology in Al Haffeh village in Rural Lattakia.
The cosmetology course involved 16 women and included skin care, make-up art, nails and the profession protocol. Also, 17 young man participated in the course of maintenance of mobile phones. They were trained on the principles of maintenance and operating systems and programs for all types of mobile devices.
At the end of the two sessions, the participants proceeded in a two-days psychosocial support course in an effort to help the beneficiaries to promote self-confidence and to motivate them to enter the labor market.
After the completion of the courses, which lasted for 2 months, the beneficiaries received a certificate of specialization and professional bags that included the necessary tools for work, as well as a cosmetic chair and a computer.
