His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II consecrated St. Mary Church in Manchester

On May 13, 2023, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East and Supreme Head of the Universal Syriac Orthodox Church, consecrated St. Mary Church in Manchester.

During the consecration, His Holiness was assisted by their Eminences Archbishops: Mor Eustatheus Isaak, Metropolitan Patriarchal Vicar in the United Kingdom, Mor Athanasius Touma Dakkama, Patriarchal Vicar in the United Kingdom, Mor Gregorius Joseph, Metropolitan Trustee of our church in India, Mor Theophilus Kuriakose, Metropolitan of the Malankara Syrian Orthodox Theological Seminary and Patriarchal Vicar in Europe, Mor Anthimos Mathews, Metropolitan of the Muvattupuzha Region of the Angamali Region, and Mor Christophoros Markose, Patriarchal Secretary for the Affairs of the Church in India.

The prayers of the Qudosho were followed by the ointment with Chrism of the altar and the walls of the church.
