Iskenderun Parishes on the First Annual Commemoration of the Earthquake

First Day of the Pastoral Visit With the Blessings and Directives of His Beatitude Beatitude Patriarch John X

With the blessings and directives of His Beatitude Beatitude Patriarch John X, Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, and President of the Middle East Council of Churches for the Orthodox Family, His Grace Arsanios Dahdal, Bishop of Hierapolis and Patriarchal Auxiliary Bishop, conducted the Feast of the Presentation of our Lord in the Temple at the Archangels Michael and Gabriel Cathedral in Mersin in the morning of the Feast day, and on the first anniversary of the earthquake.

His Grace Arsanios Dahdal conveyed to the faithful the love, blessings, and condolences of His Beatitude, and the Trisagion prayers were offered for the repose of the souls of those who perished in the earthquake.

Following the Divine Liturgy, His Grace, accompanied by the clergy and the laity, performed the Trisagion prayers at the cemetery.

Then, His Grace Arsanios Dahdal departed for Iskenderun, where he was welcomed by Fathers Dimitri Yıldırım and Nikolaos Babas Oğlu, along with the president of the association, Can Taymur, and the president of the Antakya Association, Fadi Ğurigil. His Grace conducted a thanksgiving prayer at the Church of Saint George and later met with the people, conveying to them the blessings and prayers of His Beatitude Patriarch John X…
