His Beatitude Patriarch Kyrios Kyrios Theophilos III Celebrates First Bridegroom Service at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre

On the evening of Palm Sunday, 30 March / 12 April 2025, the First Bridegroom Service of the Holy Week commenced at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

This service was presided over by His Beatitude Patriarch Kyrios Kyrios Theophilos III, the Patriarch of Jerusalem, with the concelebration of the Holy Sepulchre Hieromonks and Hierodeacons, led by the Elder Kamarasis, Archimandrite Nektarios. The hymns were chanted in Greek by the chief cantor, Deacon Eustathios, along with visiting chanters from Greece, and assisted in the Praises by His Eminence Metropolitan Joachim of Helenoupolis.

His Beatitude addressed the devout congregation of pilgrims of Holy Week and Pascha, speaking on the theme of the Bridegroom and Saviour of our souls.
