Holy See of Cilicia Participates at the Study Visit of Young Priests and Monks from the Oriental Orthodox Churches in the Vatican

At the invitation of the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity and with the blessing of His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, three young clergymen—V. Rev. Antranig Kurumian, Director of the Birds’ Nest Armenian Orphanage; Rev. Fr. Stephan Baljian, Pastor of Saint Gregory Armenian Apostolic Church in North Andover; and Rev. Fr. Karekin Bedourian, Pastor of Forty Martyrs Armenian Apostolic Church in California—represented the Armenian Church, Holy See of Cilicia, at the Oriental Orthodox Churches’ study visit to the Vatican from January 31 to February 8, 2025.
The visit aimed to familiarize the clergymen with various Vatican institutions and included a private audience on February 8 with Pope Francis, who emphasized the importance of unity among churches.
On February 2, a Divine Liturgy was celebrated at Rome’s St. Vlas Armenian Church by Rev. Fr. Movses Sahakyan, with Rev. Fr. Karekin Bedourian delivering the sermon.
Participants received special certificates at the end of the program.
