On February 14, 2025, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East and Supreme Head of the Universal Syriac Orthodox Church, and Honorary President of the Middle East Council of Churches, participated in the International Prayer Breakfast at the Munich Security Conference, in Munich.

His Holiness addressed the current situation, praying for peace in the world, especially in the Middle East. He spoke about the different levels of peace and how they can be achieved.
