His Holiness Catholicos Aram I Departs for a Pontifical Visit to the Eastern Prelacy of the USA

His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, Catholicos of the Armenian Church, Holy See of Cilicia, and Honorary President of the Middle East Council of Churches, is departing for a Pontifical visit to the Eastern Prelacy of the United States, which includes Armenian communities in Boston, Chicago, Detroit, and other regions. It’s worth noting that last year, in 2023, the Catholicos visited different communities of the same Diocese.

Prior to his visit to the United States, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I will make a brief stop in Switzerland.

During this Pontifical visit, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I will be accompanied by the Director of the Information and Communication Department of the Catholicosate, V. Rev. Fr. Hovagim Panjarjian, and the Officer of the Middle Eastern section of the Ecumenical and Inter-religious Relations Department of the Catholicosate, V. Rev. Fr. Sarkis Aprahamian.

The pontifical visit is expected to last approximately one month.
