His Holiness Catholicos Aram I Presides Over the Reinstated Mid-Lent Sunrise Service at St. Nichan Cathedral

The Armenian Prelacy of Lebanon joyfully reinstated the cherished tradition of inviting His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, Catholicos of the Armenian Church, Holy See of Cilicia, and MECC Honorary President, to preside over the Mid-Lent sunrise service (Arevakal) at St. Nichan Cathedral on March 6th, 2024.

Members of the Cilician Brotherhood and the seminarians accompanied His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, while Armenian high school students and members of the Diocesan executive council joined the faithful.

His Eminence Archbishop Shahe Panossian, the Prelate of Lebanon, extended a warm welcome to His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, acknowledging the dedication of many faithful volunteers in Church work amidst daily socioeconomic challenges. He expressed commendation for the efforts of St. Nichan Cathedral’s Church family and their role in reestablishing this tradition after several years of interruption due to reasons beyond our control. He then invited His Holiness to deliver his homily.

Expressed joy and gratitude to God for the opportunity, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I shed light on the profound importance of faith in our lives.
