On February 22, 2024, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East and Supreme Head of the Universal Syriac Orthodox Church, and Honorary President of the Middle East Council of Churches, visited His Beatitude Patriarch John X, Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, and President of the Middle East Council of Churches, at the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate in Damascus.
During the visit, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II and His Beatitude Patriarch John X discussed Church matters as well as the current situation in Syria and the region.
