His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II presided over the meeting of their Eminences the Archbishops of the Syriac Orthodox Archdioceses in Europe along with representatives of the councils

On December 4, 2024, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East and Supreme Head of the Universal Syriac Orthodox Church, and Honorary President of the Middle East Council of Churches presided over the meeting of their Eminences the Archbishops of the Syriac Orthodox Archdioceses in Europe along with representatives of the councils, at Mor Jacob of Serough Monastery in Warburg - Germany.

Their Eminences Archbishops: Mor Philoxenus Mattias Nayis, Patriarchal Vicar of Germany, Mor Dioscoros Benjamin Atas, Patriarchal Vicar of Sweden, Mor Severius Malke Mourad, Patriarchal Vicar of Brazil, Mor Dionysius Issa Gurbuz, Patriarchal Vicar of Switzerland and Austria, Mor Nicolaos Matta Abdelahad, Patriarchal Vicar in Spain, Mor Justinos Boulos Safar, Patriarchal Vicar of Zahleh and Beqaa, Mor Athanasius Touma Dakkama, Patriarchal Vicar of the United Kingdom, Mor Julius Hanna Aydin, Director of the Foreign Relations in Germany, Mor Polycarpus Augin Aydin, Patriarchal Vicar of Holland, Mor George Kourieh, Patriarchal Vicar of Belgium, France and Luxembourg, Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Assistant, and Mor Youhanon Lahdo, Archbishop of Sweden and Scandinavia, as well as representatives of the Archdioceses of Europe, attended the meeting.

During the meeting, they discussed the various issues that affect our churches as well as its future and ways to develop better cooperation among the archdioceses for the progress of the Church and its development.
