Feast of the Patriarchal Department of Ecumenical Relations and Development with the blessing of His Beatitude Patriarch John X

With the blessing of His Beatitude Patriarch John X, Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, and President of the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC) for the Orthodox Family, and in the presence of Rev. Bishops Romanos (Al-Hannat) the Patriarchal Vicar, Moussa (Al-Khoury), and John (Batash), the Patriarchal Department of Ecumenical Relations and Development celebrated the Sunday of the Good Samaritan, its patron's feast, which coincided with its thirtieth anniversary in the Mariamite Cathedral, November 10, 2024

On this occasion, His Grace Bishop Romanos (Al-Hannat) delivered a speech where he initially conveyed His Beatitude’s blessing and wishes for the department to prosper. He stressed the important role of the Patriarchal Department in the circumstances our country and how this ministry finds its foundation in the Gospel, following the example of the Good Samaritan.

His Grace concluded the speech with a prayer for all its volunteers to succeed in spreading the Church’s humanitarian message in the most beautiful way.
