His Beatitude Patriarch Bartholomew I called His Beatitude Patriarch John X:

His Beatitude Patriarch John X, Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, and President of the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC) for the Orthodox Family, received a phone call from His Beatitude Patriarch Bartholomew I of Constantinople, New Rome and the Ecumenical Patriarch. During the call, the Ecumenical Patriarch stressed the support of the Church of Constantinople, both as clergymen and lay people, especially for the affected areas because of the war in Lebanon and Gaza. Both parties asserted the importance of efforts to stop the war and restore peace. For his part, Patriarch John thanked Patriarch Bartholomew for his fraternal sympathy and support to the Children of the Church of Antioch in these hard times. His Beatitude highlighted the need of concerted international and regional efforts and pressures to stop the war and establish peace.
