His Holiness Catholicos Aram I Arrives in Providence
On October 4th, 2024, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, Catholicos of the Armenian Church, Holy See of Cilicia, and Honorary President of the Middle East Council of Churches, accompanied by his pontifical delegation, arrived in Providence, Rhode Island, where the parish father and local community representatives warmly received him. Later in the same evening, guided by police, His Holiness visited Saints Vartanants Church, where many parishioners eagerly awaited his arrival.
Following the “Hrashapar” ceremony, H.E. Arch. Anoushavan Tanielian, Prelate of the Eastern Armenian Prelacy, welcomed His Holiness, highlighting the visit as a catalyst for a fresh chapter in the church’s spiritual life. His Holiness praised the prelate’s dedication in his address and acknowledged the parish father, National Assembly representatives, and the presence of sister church representatives. He announced that the theme of his spiritual meditations during this visit would be the “Our Father” prayer…
