His Holiness Catholicos Aram I in Waukegan

His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, Catholicos of the Armenian Church, Holy See of Cilicia, and Honorary President of the Middle East Council of Churches, was warmly received by the Armenian community of Waukegan at the entrance of The St. Paul Armenian Apostolic Church, led by the pastor, Rev. Fr. Daron Stepanian.

Following the solemn “Hrashapar” ceremony, the Prelate, His Excellency Arch. Anoushavan Tanielian invited His Holiness to address the parishioners. In his pontifical message, His Holiness contemplated the essence of the church’s existence. Referencing Matthew 18:20, “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them,” the Catholicos underlined that the church symbolizes the body of Christ. By engaging in the life and witness of the church, individuals become participants in Christ’s humanity, sufferings, crucifixion, and miraculous resurrection…
