His Holiness Catholicos Aram I in Chicago

His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, Catholicos of the Armenian Church, Holy See of Cilicia, and Honorary President of the Middle East Council of Churches, and his pontifical delegation arrived in Chicago and were warmly received by the Armenian community at All Saints’ Armenian Apostolic Church. During the visit, His Holiness engaged with the youth, bodies of the church, and sister organizations.
On Friday, October 18th, 2024, His Holiness was welcomed at the entrance of All Saints’ Church by the pastor, Rev. Fr. Samuel Adjemian, along with members of the church bodies and the faithful, who presented him with the traditional offering of bread and salt. After blessing the offering, the Catholicos entered the church and presided over the solemn “Hrashapar” ceremony. The Prelate, His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan Tanielian, delivered welcoming remarks and invited His Holiness to address the gathered faithful.
In his address, Catholicos Aram I underscored the pivotal role of a family as the foundation of a nation’s vitality and strength. He emphasized the importance of nurturing Christian values within the family, stating that a true Christian family is one blessed by the presence of God and the sacrament of matrimony.
