"I rejoiced with those who said to me,
Let us go to the house of the Lord.” (Psalm 122: 1)
With the blessings of His Beatitude Patriarch John X, Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East and President of the Middle East Council of Churches for the Orthodox Family, the Families Meeting of the Diocese of Damascus and its Countryside was launched in the Patriarchal Monastery Saint George Al-Homeyra.
The first day, Wednesday July 12 afternoon, began with a speech by His Eminence, Bishop Efrem Maalouli, Metropolitan of Aleppo, on "Economy and the Consumption Cycle", who talked about the Christian family facing consumer society and how to put consumption at the service of my family and not the opposite. After Vespers, in the Church of the Monastery, there was a workshop called "You have the Solution" with Father Boutros Al-Khoury, the head of the meeting and of the participating teams.
The first day ended with a gathering for acquaintance.
The second day started with the Divine Liturgy in the morning, followed by the second theme with Dr. Maher Ammari on "Digital Life and the Family"…
