The Coptic Orthodox Church issued an announcement regarding the health of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, after having a minor medical issue following the Liturgy he presided on the occasion of the Feast of Pentecost.

His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, prayed today the liturgy of the feast of Pentecost in King Mariout, Egypt.
Following the Liturgy, His Holiness had a minor medical issue due to inflammation of the Seventh nerve.
Physicians advised his holiness to rest and to take some medications.
Hence, immediate meetings related to His Holiness are being postponed, while future meetings will be kept.
We pray that God may give our beloved Pope Tawadros II the full recovery with the intercessions of our mother the Theotokos, and the our fathers the Apostles and the rest of the Saints.
