On March 31, 2023, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East and Supreme Head of the Universal Syriac Orthodox Church, participated in the ceremony of the launching of the books published by His Eminence Mor Theophilus Georges Saliba, Archbishop of Mount Lebanon and Tripoli, at St. Jacob of Serugh Hall in the Syiac Orthodox Archdiocesan Center in Baushrieh, Lebanon. During the ceremony, His Holiness honored His Eminence and named him ‘Malphono’ of the Syriac and Arabic languages.
The ceremony was attended by their Eminences Archbishops: Mor Justinos Boulos Safar, Patriarchal Vicar in Zahleh and Beqaa, Mor Clemis Daniel Kourieh, Archbishop of Beirut, Mor Chrysostomos Mikhael Chamoun, Patriarchal Vicar and Director of the Benevolent Insitutions in Atchaneh, Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Archbishop of Homs, Hama, Tartous and Environs, Mor Severus Roger Akhrass, Patriarchal Vicar for Syriac Studies, Mor Cyril Babi, Patriarchal Vicar for the Patriarchal Archdiocese of Damascus, and Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Assistant.
