Below you can find a statement issued by the Coptic Orthodox Church regarding the health of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, following the state exertion that he experienced during the Nativity Liturgy.

His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, conducted a number of medical examinations today, due to the state exertion that His Holiness experienced during the Nativity Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ in the New Administrative Capital, last evening.

The results of the tests and diagnosis of the doctors following up with His Holiness Pope Tawadros II showed that H.H. is in good health and the state of exertion H.H. experienced by His Holiness was a result of the efforts he made during the past days, through the continuous receptions of guests to congratulate H.H. on Christmas along with the pastoral work that he carried out recently.

We reassure everyone that His Holiness Pope Tawadros II is fine and will resume to his pastoral work normally in few days, God willing.
