His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II Presides Over the Special Rite of Epiphany at the Baptism Site on the Jordan River

On January 19, 2023, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East and Supreme Head of the Universal Syriac Orthodox Church, presided over the special rite of Epiphany (Denho) at the Baptism site on the Jordan River.

Their Eminences Archbishops: Mor Clemis Daniel Kourieh, Archbishop of Beirut, Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director, Very Rev. Raban Benjamin Chamoun, Parish Priest of Mor Aphrem Church in Amman, Very Rev. Raban Andrew Bahhi, and Very Rev. Raban Yacoub Ibrahim as well as deacons and faithful from Jordan, also participated in this ceremonial Prayer.

His Eminence Archbishop Mor Anthimos Jack Yakoub, Patriarchal Vicar for Youth Affairs and Christian Education, and Patriarchal Delegate to the Archdiocese of Jerusalem, Jordan, and the Holy Lands, and monks from the Holy Lands participated from the Western side of the Jordan River.

Upon the completion of the special Prayers, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II blessed the faithful on both sides with the water.
