His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II Celebrated the Holy Qurobo for the Feast of the Annunciation at St. Severius Church in Atchaneh

On March 25, 2022, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East and Supreme Head of the Universal Syriac Orthodox Church, celebrated the Holy Qurobo for the Feast of the Annunciation at St. Severius Church in the Patriarchal Residence in Atchaneh - Lebanon.

Their Eminences Archbishops: Mor Chrysostomos Mikhael Shemoun, Patriarchal Vicar and Director of the Patriarchal Benevolent Institutions in Atchaneh, and Mor Severus Roger Akhrass, Patriarchal Vicar for Syriac Studies, assisted His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II in the Holy Qurobo. His Eminence Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director was also present.

In his sermon, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II spoke about the preparedness of the Virgin Mary to become the Mother of God and her complete trust in the Lord. He explained the meaning of the words of the Virgin Mary who accepted to be the Mother of God. He hoped that we can learn from her to be humble, have full confidence in the Lord and faith that He will not fail those who trust Him.
