Prayer for the Unity of Christians at the Cenacle in Jerusalem

JERUSALEM - On Thursday, January 27, for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, a prayer was celebrated at the Cenacle by Fr. Nikodemus C. Schnabel, and in the presence of His Beatitude Mgr Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem.
Every day, from Saturday, January 22 to Sunday, January 30, Christians from all walks of life are invited to gather in a different place to pray for the unity of the Church. On Thursday, January 27, the ceremony took place at the Cenacle, Jerusalem, and was presided over by Fr. Nikodemus C. Schnabel, Patriarchal Vicar for migrants and asylum seekers. His Beatitude Mgr Pizzaballa, who had just returned from his trip to Jordan, attended the celebration.
Despite the snow, which put a halt to most of the city's activities, the Cenacle was far from empty on this sixth day of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. Lay people and religious alike came to gather there, with a candle in their hands, to pray that the whole Church, as a whole, may strengthen its inner bonds and stand as a symbol of harmony and unity…
