News From the Armenian Church Catholicosate of Cilicia

On Tuesday, May 25th, 2021, His Holiness Aram I received the following visitors and held the following meetings in Antelias:

A) Syriac Archbishop George Saliba. Archbishop Saliba extended an invitation on behalf of His Holiness Patriarch Ignatius Aphrem II to His Holiness Aram I for the episcopal ordination of Syriac Orthodox bishops to be held at the Syriac Orthodox Patriarchal Residence in Atchaneh. Accompanying the Archbishop were the two prospective bishops.

B) A meeting between His Holiness Aram I, Archbishop Shahan Sarkissian, director of the Cilicia Library, and the architects working on renovating and reorganizing the Library. The meeting was held to inform His Holiness on the progress of the renovation.

C) The delegation from the Khatchig Babikian Publication Fund who had recently traveled to Armenia to present their 14th publication entitled “100th Anniversary of the Republic of Armenia: Conference Materials (Antelias, 21-23 March 2018).
