His Holiness Pope Francis departed from the Larnaca International Airport in Cyprus and flew to the Athens International Airport in Greece on Saturday morning – the third day of his 35th Apostolic Journey abroad.
In his customary manner, he sent a telegram to the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, as he left the country.
In the message, the Pope expressed his deep gratitude to the President and people of Cyprus for their warm welcome and hospitality. While invoking upon them the blessings of God, he also assured them of his prayers for the peace and prosperity of the nation.
