On October 31, 2021, the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East and Supreme Head of the Universal Syriac Orthodox Church His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II celebrated the Holy Qurobo at St. Behnam and Sarah Church in Tours, France.

He was assisted by their Eminences Archbishops: Mor George Kourieh, Patriarchal Vicar in Belgium, France and Luxembourg, Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Archbishop of Homs, Hama, Tartous and Environs, and Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director.

In his sermon, His Holiness spoke about the beginning of the liturgical year with the Sunday of the Sanctification of the Church, celebrating the renewal of the creation and how man is turned from sin to righteousness, through the baptism which is tne new birth and sanctification of creation. He added that the faithful is spiritually renewed in a daily basis through the faith in the Lord Jesus. Most importantly, we need to remain faithful to the Lord Jesus Christ and confess his divinity as St. Peter did when he confessed that He is the son of the living God. He thus became a disciple of Christ Who wants us to remain with Him in times of joy as well as times of distress; thus, our sole goal will be the salvation of our souls.
