The Feast of the Holy Translators and the Opening Ceremony of the 2021-2022 Academic Year of the Seminary
As per tradition at the Catholicosate of Cilicia, on the Feast of the Holy Translators, the Divine Liturgy is officiated by the Dean of the Seminary at St. Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral, in Antelias, Lebanon, followed by a celebration at the Main Hall of the Catholicosate to mark the opening of the academic year of the Seminary. Thus, on Sunday, October 10th, 2021, His Holiness Catholicos of Cilicia Aram I presided over the celebrations of the Feast.
At the end of the service, the pontifical procession, led by the Catholicos, and the faithful headed to the Hall, where hymns, anthems, and bible readings were held during the first part of event. In the second part, the Dean of the Seminary, V. Rev. Fr. Barouyr Shernezian, delivered a speech and briefed on the changes of the curriculum and program of the academic year.
