The MECC Secretary General Dr. Michel Abs Visits the Maronite Eparchy of Aleppo

The Secretary General of the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC) Dr. Michel Abs continued his follow up visit to the city of Aleppo, and visited the Maronite Eparchy of Aleppo, accompanied by the MECC Coordinator of Church and Media Relations Journalist Lea Adel Maamary, and the Director of the MECC Office in Aleppo Ms. Lamis Makhoul.

Afterwards, both sides discussed many issues and files of interest to the Church, Ecumenical, relief and social work in light of the current challenges and crises, in addition to the projects that could be implemented.

For his part, the Secretary General presented a detailed explanation about the MECC work, activities and projects, highlighting what the MECC Office in Aleppo does in particular.

He also talked about the Fiftieth Year of the MECC Founding and the activities and projects it implements, stressing that MECC is for everyone and works in parallel with everyone without exception, and it always seeks to bring Churches closer together and strengthen the Ecumenical spirit.
