The Middle East Council of Churches Mourns Passing of Dr. Agnes Abuom,

Former Moderator of the World Council of Churches (WCC) Central Committee

The Secretary General of the Middle East Council of Churches Dr. Michel Abs mourns Dr. Agnes Abuom, former Moderator of the World Council of Churches (WCC) Central Committee, in a letter of condolence he addressed it to Reverend Professor Dr. Jerry Pillay, Secretary General of the World Council of Churches.

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, risen from the dead,

 

With great sadness and hope, we received the news of the passing of Dr. Agnes Abuom, former Moderator of the World Council of Churches (WCC) Central Committee, to the arms of the Heavenly Father, after accomplishing a bright journey of endeavors in order to strengthen the spirit of unity and spread the values ​​of love, fraternity and peace.

She will be missed by the international Ecumenical family, who collected with her memories of Prayers and Ecumenical tours during her work, as she was a symbol of loving and dedicated person in service.

I extend, on my behalf and on behalf of the Middle East Council of Churches, its Presidents and its Executive Committee’s members, my deepest condolences to you, Reverend, to the World Council of Churches and to her family and her church, praying for the Lord Jesus, who redeemed us with His death, to bless her with His resurrection and welcome her in His heaven.

 

With the hope of the Resurrection, may her soul rest in eternal peace of the Lord Jesus
