Video - Medical Assistance Alleviating the Earthquake’s Repercussions on the Affected People in Latakia, Syria

About 7 months have passed sincd the earthquake that struck the North of the Antiochian Levant, and this disaster is still a large-scale emergency in Syria calling for immediate support at many levels, especially that the earthquake occurred at a time when Syrians are facing difficult living conditions and worsening economic crises.

Hence, the Middle East Council of Churches continues its humanitarian and relief work in various Syrian regions. In Latakia, MECC, in cooperation with its partners, took it upon itself to support the families affected by the earthquake through various programs that may alleviate the impact of this disaster.

In this context, the video highlights one of these programs, through which the Middle East Council of Churches’ team distributed a batch of medicines for chronic diseases and cancer patients, in addition to providing essential medical devices, such as blood glucose measuring devices, wheelchairs, and hearing aids.
