The Middle East Council of Churches Mourns Passing of His Eminence Bishop Anba Kyrillos William

The Secretary General of the Middle East Council of Churches Dr. Michel Abs mourns His Eminence Bishop Anba Kyrillos William, Honorary Bishop of the Coptic Catholic Diocese of Assiut, and member of the Middle East Council of Churches’ Executive Committee, in a letter of condolence he addressed it to His Beatitude Patriarch Anba Ibrahim Isaac, Coptic Catholic Patriarch of Alexandria, and Head of the Council of Catholic Patriarchs and Bishops in Egypt.

Your Beatitude Patriarch Anba Ibrahim Isaac,

Coptic Catholic Patriarch of Alexandria, and Head of the Council of Catholic Patriarchs and Bishops in Egypt,

 

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, risen from the dead,

 

With great sadness and hope, we received the news of the passing of His Eminence Bishop Anba Kyrillos William, Honorary Bishop of the Coptic Catholic Diocese of Assiut, and member of the Middle East Council of Churches’ Executive Committee, to the arms of the Heavenly Father, after accomplishing his Pastoral mission with great faith and hope.

His Eminence was a faithful servant of the Church of Christ, and the Middle East Council of Churches will always remember him as a symbol of a sincere and dedicated person in tenderness and Ecumenical work. He has always sought to promote the values ​​of love, peace and justice among all.

I extend, on my behalf and on behalf of the Middle East Council of Churches and the members of its Executive Committee, my deepest condolences to you, Your Beatitude, to the Coptic Catholic Church and the family of the deceased, praying for the Lord Jesus, who redeemed us with His death, to bless him with His resurrection and welcome him in His heaven.
