On the Occasion of the Contemporary Martyrs' Day 2023 at the Coptic Orthodox Church

The MECC Secretary General Dr. Michel Abs Participates in an International Webinar

On the occasion of the Contemporary Martyrs' Day 2023, which was designated by the Coptic Orthodox Church, the Secretary General of the Middle East Council of Churches Dr. Michel Abs participated in an international webinar entitled “Working together for those alone”, on Wednesday 15 February 2023. It was at the invitation of His Eminence Archbishop Angaelos, Coptic Orthodox Archbishop of London, and Founder and Director of REFCEMI, the Coptic Orthodox Office for Advocacy and Public Policy. The webinar was hosted by REFCEMI in conjunction with the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of London.

It is worth mentioning that on 15 February, the Coptic Orthodox Church worldwide commemorates its contemporary martyrs. It also marks the anniversary of the martyrdom of the 21 executed by terrorists’ groups in Libya on 15 February 2015.
